Mission Statement:

Building strong, dynamic and competitive athletes through the provision of academic and athletic facilities where minds, bodies, and hearts can be trained by experienced coaches and instructors in a way that impacts the world for Jesus Christ.

 Vision Statement:

Push forward funding to support the establishment or access to academic and athletic facilities so that athletes, coaches, instructors and the community are drawn to and grounded in the Sterling Athletics program through four established core values:

Character

Commitment

Community

Teamwork

Romans 5:3–4 (NIV):

3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope.

1 Corinthians 16:13 (NIV):

13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

Matthew 5:6 (NIV):

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

1 Corinthians 9:24–27 (NIV):

24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

Proverbs 10:5 (NIV):

5 He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

Philippians 2:3–4 (NIV):

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

1 Thessalonians 5:14 (NIV):

14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone.

 1 Corinthians 1:10 (NIV):

10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.

Proverbs 27:17 (NIV):

17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
